FIELD: drilling tools. SUBSTANCE: cutting insert made of cemented carbide is designed mainly for percussive drilling and has mainly cylindrical mounting part and external part including relatively flat surface spreading from the mounting part to insert front part. The mounting part has central axis A and definite radius D/2. External part is of base convex shape from which main part of external part projects radially. Relatively flat part is smoothly connected with other parts of the external part. In this case, radius of relatively flat surface exceeds radius D/2 of mounting part. Relatively flat surface of external part is connected over circumference with at least one pointed cutting edge. External part is ballistic base shape. Percussive drilling bit includes shaft, drilling head located on front part of the shaft and having the first longitudinal axis. Drilling head has face end directed forward with face surface, shell surface spreading, mainly, in longitudinal direction and confines external periphery of the drilling head, and also many holes made in the face end, and each hole is mainly of cylindrical main shape which receives cutting insert of cemented carbide.
