SUBSTANCE: invention relates to percussive rock drill bit for drilling hard rocks. Drill bit comprises a head coupled to a rearwardly projecting skirt, a longitudinal axis extending through the head and the skirt. Head has a front face surrounded by an outer collar. Collar is divided into a plurality of circumferentially spaced collar segments by a plurality grooves extending radially inward and axially from the head. Collar segments are raised and project axially forward of the front face. Each segment has a radially outer peripheral surface that is declined relative to the axis to be radially outward facing. Drill bit also comprises a plurality of gauge buttons spaced apart around the collar and projecting from the peripheral surface of each collar segment to tilt radially outward from the axis. Gauge buttons are arranged in pairs at each collar segment. Each button of each pair is positioned side-by-side and comprises respective central axes that are parallel or nearly parallel to one another such that the central axes of the gauge buttons are not centred on the longitudinal axis. Drill bit also comprises a plurality of radially outermost front buttons. At least one of the front buttons is positioned immediately radially closer to the axis and circumferentially between the two gauge buttons of each respective pair to form respective clusters of buttons.

EFFECT: technical result is higher efficiency of drill bit operation.
