FIELD: food-processing and cereal-processing industry. SUBSTANCE: method involves feeding starch-containing raw material into extruder feeder; compacting, homogenizing and swelling extrudate; supplying carbon dioxide in solid phase along with feeding starch-containing raw material in the amount of 4-6 wt.% of raw material. Extrudate produced by such method is characterized by increased swelling extent and reduced consumption of power for process of extruding cereal starch-containing raw material as compared to known method.
