FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves examining brain state by applying electromagnetic resonance impedance measurements at three frequencies using three induction transducers. Impedance measurement is carried out both in preoperative and postoperative time period in required time intervals. In every case measurements are done for determining active and reactive components of impedance, comparing the received parameter values to control ones. Progressive reduction of parameters difference being obtained, favorable encephalopathy development course is to be predicted. The difference being found to increase or to be constant, unfavorable encephalopathy development course is to be predicted. The device has sinusoid oscillator, transducer unit, buffer amplifier and recorder. The transducer unit has inductance coil connected to the device circuit by means of inlet and outlet leads. Oscillator output is connected to a circuit having two capacitors connected in series. Capacitor connection point is connected to inlet lead of the transducer unit. Potential inlet lead of the buffer amplifier is connected to the outlet lead of the transducer unit, its outlet lead is connected to the recorder input. Permanent capacity capacitor, two variable capacity capacitors and circuit having variable resistor and biposition switch connected in series are connected in parallel to buffer amplifier input. The device has three inductance coils, one of which is cylindrical coil which winding is placed on hard dielectric carcass. The second coil has spiral winding mounted on flat curved carcass manufactured from hard dielectric material as radially arranged leaflets with gaps, winding wire envelopes neighboring leaflets in turn from opposite sides. The third coil has spiral winding mounted on flat curved carcass manufactured from hard dielectric material as radially arranged leaflets with gaps, winding wire envelopes neighboring leaflets in turn from opposite sides. EFFECT: wide range of functional applications; non-invasive and painless method. 3 cl, 2 dwg
