FIELD: construction engineering. SUBSTANCE: lightweight metal structure manufactured according to method can be used as load-bearing component in framework of building and also in crane runway supports. In compliance with method, primary component of structure is divided into two half-girders with rectangular protrusions. Height of protrusion relates to its length as . Height of protrusion is equal to 0.25-0.35 of height of cross-section of primary component. Then, half-girders are joined together over protrusions. After that, right-angled triangles are cut out from wall of created structure. Angle of incline of leg to girth is equal to 45 deg. Then, cut-out members are inserted into right angle of openings. Cutting-out and insertion are performed in pairs in staggered order from upper zone and lower zone of wall. Produced structure is separated over saw-tooth line with right angle between sides of teeth with subsequent joining of created half-girders through tops of teeth by means of equal-side angles. Application of method allows for increasing load-bearing capacity of structure with versatility of its use. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 7 dwg
