FIELD: civil engineering; applicable in construction of roofs of covered car parkings, markets, exhibition pavilions in the form of spherical rod shells. SUBSTANCE: unit for joining of members pf rod shell, mainly, spherical and consisting of rod members made of metal of various compositions, wood or reinforced concrete. Secured to end of rods are pairs of angle fragments separated by secured flanges symmetrically to longitudinal axes of members. Free flanges of separated angles have holes for fastening bolts. Fastening bolts combine the connected members into rigid unit. Each end tip is reinforced by shiffening ribs. Ends of rod members to which separated angles are secured, are chamfered at an angle ϕ/2, where ϕ is central angle between unit axes. EFFECT: reduced specific material consumption and labor input in manufacture and mounting of unit. 6 dwg
