FIELD: construction engineering. SUBSTANCE: lightweight metal structure can be used in production of load-bearing members in framework of building and crane runway supports. Method implies initial cutting wall of primary member over horizontal lines which are distant from each other in vertical by value h being equal to 0.2-0.3 of cross-sectional height of primary member. Upper and lower lines are overlapping each other horizontally also by same value h. Distance between ends of upper or lower horizontal lines is as follows a = 2h((1/cos45°)-1). From ends of horizontal lines, wall is cut over vertical lines. Created half-girders are joined together over protrusions by shifting through value of (a+h). Squares which were cut out at initial cutting are cut over diagonal. Obtained triangles are joined by legs. Created triangles are inserted in pairs in staggered order into upper and lower parts of rectangular openings produced after initial joining. Produced structure is separated over saw-tooth line with right angle between sides of teeth, and thus obtained half-girders are joined together through tops of teeth by sections of equal-side angles. Application of aforesaid method allows for increasing load-bearing capacity of structure together with widening area of its application. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 8 dwg
