FIELD: agriculture, in particular, equipment for cutting water-absorbing slits. SUBSTANCE: slitter has tine with cutting edge and side faces provided with tiers of staggered slots, with depth of slots reducing from cutting edge to rear rib. Ratio of distance B between adjacent slots on one face and maximum width b of slot is 1.3b<B<2b. Slot surface has constant curvature radius r. Slot surface axis is extending backward and upward from cutting edge at an angle α of < 30 deg to horizontal plane. Such construction allows slits with walls having uniform water absorption to be cut. Slitter of such construction may be hitched to any combined equipment.
