INSTALLATION FOR MAKING THIN-WALL SECTIONS FROM SHEET BLANKS Russian patent published in 2000 - IPC

FIELD: plastic metal working, possibly in aerospace industry branch, in machine engineering for making thin-wall bent sections. SUBSTANCE: installation includes arranged on frame according to technological order: feed roller pair, shaping stands between which there are drawing stand and bending-sizing unit having roller pairs with profiled closed gap and their drive in the form of gears mounted on roller shafts in the same vertical plane. Pinions of drive mechanisms of upper and lower shafts of feeding, drawing stands and of bending-sizing unit are mutually engaged and they are combined in united kinematic circuit by means of idle gears. Pinions of drive mechanisms of shaping and drawing stands have different number of teeth. Additional shafts with idle gears are arranged between upper and lower working shafts. Idle gears are engaged with pinions of drive mechanism of upper and lower shafts of shaping stands. Driving of drawing stand is realized through changeable external gearing. Each upper shaft of stands is raised by means of the same screw-nut pair. Upper shafts of all stands are embedded in slides moving along guides of frame walls at lifting. EFFECT: enlarged manufacturing possibilities, enhanced quality of sections due to high-accuracy adjustment and rigidity of drive system. 2 cl, 4 dwg
