FIELD: powder metallurgy; manufacture of trimetallic powder articles, type "bronze-iron-bronze". SUBSTANCE: method includes preparation of compact backing, forming three-layer blank "powder-backing-powder", sintering this blank, short-term heating before hot resealing with high-frequency currents at intensity of magnetic field of 10 to 20 kA/m and frequency of 8 to 20 kHz and hot resealing. Preparation of compact backing includes forming acute-angled riffles on surfaces directed to power layers; these riffles are located concentrically at pitch of 2 to 5 mm, vertex angle of 40 to 60 deg and height of 0.5 to 1.5 mm; one lateral surface is parallel relative to direction of action of external forces at moulding. EFFECT: improved quality of power multi- layer articles, type "bronze-iron-bronze" due to forming fault-free blanks characterized by absence of lamination between surfaces of powder coat and backing; reduced consumption of labor. 1 tbl, 1 dwg
