FIELD: metal coatings. SUBSTANCE: invention provides method for thermodiffusion zinc-plating in powder medium followed by passivation, which is carried out by way of applying composition containing aluminum powder in ethyl silicate binder at their weight ratio from 0.02:0.98 to 0.1:0.9. Binder, in particular, contains, wt %: ethyl silicate 11.5-12.7, polyvinylbutyral 5.5-9.2, 73% orthophosphoric acid 0.15-0.45, ethanol 72.2-76.5, and water - the balance. EFFECT: increased corrosion resistance and mechanical strength of coatings, simplified passivation process, and extended choice of parts to be treated. 1 tbl, 5 ex
