FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an anti-corrosion treatment, in particular to the application of a zinc coating to articles of high-strength aluminum alloys by thermal diffusion galvanising. Method for thermal diffusion galvanizing of articles made from high-strength aluminum alloy includes pre-blasting of articles, heating the articles in a furnace, said articles being placed in a container with a saturating powder mixture containing an inert filler, activator and zinc powder, in a furnace with constant rotation of the container at a rate of 1–2 rpm and pressure inside the container of 1.8–2.2 atm, unloading of articles and cooling in water. Heating of the articles is carried out at a temperature of 465–475 °C for at least 80 minutes, then the container is depressurised to normal pressure and blown with inert gas. After cooling in water, the articles are dried, then heat-treated in a furnace with a protective atmosphere at a temperature of 130–145 °C for 16 hours, followed by cooling in air.
EFFECT: providing high-quality corrosion-resistant zinc coating and high strength properties of aluminum alloy articles.
