FIELD: construction engineering. SUBSTANCE: this relates to design of building stones widely used in erection of external and internal walls. Building stone has hollows which are slot-like in configuration and are open at bottom. Holes are located in rows across direction of heat flow and are separated from each other in length of row by partitions. Hollows are made in main length and additional length and are arranged in alternation of rows. One row has two hollows of main length, and other row has one hollow of main length between two hollows of additional length. Partitions in adjacent rows are displaced relative to each other to half of hollow of main length. Longitudinal dimension of main hollow is equal to 0.398-0.456 of stone dimension along rows of hollows. Aforesaid embodiment of building stone ensures optimal dimensions of hollows in stone. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 3 cl, 1 dwg
