FIELD: civil engineering, in particular, constructions of building stones widely used in masonry of outer and inner walls. SUBSTANCE: the brick has slit-like voids arranged by rows across the direction of heat flow. The voids are made of the basic and replenishing lengths and separated from one another in length by crosspieces. The brick is made of a raw material mix including at least 25 percent by mass of ash of steam power plants, and the voids in it are positioned with alternation of rows: one row contains two voids of the basic length between two voids of the replenishing length. The crosspieces in the adjacent rows are shifted relative to each other by 0.4 to 0.599 of the longitudinal size of the void of the basic length, which makes up 0.280 to 0.379 or 0.381 to 0.470 of the brick size along the void row. EFFECT: optimized relative position of voids, relation of their sizes and composition of which the brick is manufactured. 3 cl, 1 dwg
