SUBSTANCE: proposed cylinder head cover of internal combustion engine has noise fibrodamping unit consists of viscoelastic damping gasket and limited reinforcement plate. Gasket material adhesively couples wall of cover and limited reinforcement plate. Novelty is that material of viscoelastic damping gasket and its parameters, such as thickness, density and modulus of elasticity, are specially matched to provide effective damping of structural noise in cover frequency range.
