FIELD: transport engineering; noise-and-vibration damping panels. SUBSTANCE: noise and vibration damping panels are mounted on vehicle body members separating cab (passenger compartment) from engine compartment in road vehicles. Duct has thin-sheet metal walls rigidly connected to each other. Novelty is that face walls of duct relative to oncoming air flow are lined with multilayer noise-and-vibration damping panels, at least partially, in zones of loops of lower resonance natural forms of flexural vibrations of corresponding walls. Summary area of panel surfaces is not less than half the summary area of duct wall surfaces. Panels are adhesively mounted with use of additional sticky layer, thermoadhesive or viscoelastic damping layers and are provided with minimum one layer of weight viscoelastic vibration damping material covered from outside with reinforcement layer made of rigid material. Shape of surface of noise-and-vibration damping panel is made to meet the shape of mating surface of duct members. Proposed noise- and-vibration damping panel can be made of two or more separate panels. EFFECT: improved acoustic conditions in vehicle cab owing to increased efficiency of vibration damping and noise insulation of climatic outfit duct walls. 2 cl, 6 dwg
