FIELD: magnetrons for parasitic mode suppression. SUBSTANCE: both components of parasitic mode doublet are suppressed due to azimuthal alignment between discontinuity of straps and point of connection of energy lead to cavity system with full discontinuity of slow- wave structure in its mirror symmetry plane. Magnetron provided with asymmetric energy lead and anodic cavity system with two-sided twin straps (one strap of each pair of top and bottom straps is soldered to all four bars apart from all those odd-numbered, other pair of straps is soldered to all odd-numbered bars apart from those even-numbered) has discontinuity near one of bars. Energy lead is made near bar which has discontinuity in straps. Discontinuities are provided in both straps not soldered to this bar; center of strap discontinuity corresponds to center of bar; width of discontinuity is chosen from equation given in description of invention. EFFECT: provision for suppressing parasitic mode doublet. 9 dwg
