FIELD: ferrous metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: alloyed steel contains, wt.%: carbon 0.2-0.8, silicon up to 0.4, manganese 0.5-1.0, nickel 8-20, and iron - the balance. Steel may also contain 0.5-2.0% zirconium. Percentages of trace minerals are limited as follows: chromium 0.3, sulfur 0.03, and phosphorus 0.003. Steel can be used for manufacturing accessories from layered metals and composites. EFFECT: improved mechanical characteristics and welding ability at reduced coefficient of thermal expansion. 4 cl, 2 dwg, 2 ex
