FIELD: mechanical engineering; engines. SUBSTANCE: device has heat exchanger with adjustable area of heat exchange surface. Oil circuit of heat exchanger accommodates mechanism consisting of spring, telescopic rod and piston and forming chamber connected with engine intake manifold through electromagnetic valve controlled by thermal relay operated by oil temperature transmitter. Gas circuit tubes are placed in liquid circuit connected in parallel with engine cooling system through electromagnetic valves controlled by thermal relay operated by cooling liquid temperature transmitter. Gas circuit tubes communicate with air intake through check valve, and with intake and exhaust manifolds, through electromagnetic valves controlled by thermal relays operated by oil temperature transmitter.
