FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: proposed lubrication system of internal combustion engine contains oil sump, oil intake strainer consisting of three branch pipes, gear oil pump, check valve, hydraulic accumulator, electromagnetic valves, temperature controller, oil filter, fluid coupling and main oil line. System oil sump is essentially container consisting of three sections. Front ribbed section of oil sump accommodates heat exchanger for cooling oil by air passed through heat exchanger. Middle section is accumulator of oil at operating temperature. Rear section of sump accommodates heat exchanger for heating oil by exhaust gases passing through heat exchanger. Each branch pipe of oil intake strainer gets out of corresponding section of oil sump. All branch pipes are connected to common suction channel of oil pump with automatically controlled delivery of oil. Throughput capacity of branch pipes located in front and rear sections is regulated by temperature controller by means of electromagnetic valves changing oil temperature getting from middle section, depending on speed of engine crankshaft, by mixing the oil. EFFECT: improved temperature and dynamic characteristics of lubrication system. 1 dwg
