FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engines. SUBSTANCE: proposed lubrication system contains oil sump accommodating oil intake strainer made in form of ribbed heat exchanger of tube-in-tube-type connected to suction channel of oil pump driven from power turbine through planetary reduction gear. Power turbine is controlled by throttle through oil pressure regulator. Exhaust gases from engine exhaust manifold are delivered to power turbine, and after execution of useful work, they are directed into muffler. Hydraulic accumulator is connected to oil pump through check valve. Said hydraulic accumulator is designed to reduce oil fluctuation and maintain constant oil pressure in lubrication system. Hydraulic accumulator is provided with heat insulation. Lubrication system is set into operation through electromagnetic valve by means of ignition switch. Oil delivered into heat exchanger and into main oil line from oil pump through check valve, hydraulic accumulator, electromagnetic valve, oil filter and electromagnetic valve operated by temperature regulator located in oil sump. EFFECT: reduced consumption of energy to drive oil pump. 1 dwg
