FIELD: protection of securities, art objects and other rarities against faking. SUBSTANCE: method involves application of label, which contains at least one substance or solution with absorption rate ε ≥ 2•103 in infrared spectral band from 700 nm to 3 mcm and transparent in visible light. Such substances include organic composition of d and f metals. Label is detected and identified using TV system which operates in spectral range of 700 nm to 3 mcm. EFFECT: facilitated detection and increased speed, increased precision and stability of detection of ownership of labeled objects. 4 cl, 1 dwg
