FIELD: automotive AC and DC power generators. SUBSTANCE: in order to reduce voltage dissipation across one power transistor switch due to its uniform distribution among several power transistor switches and to decrease peak- to-peak amplitudes of output voltage ripples by increasing rate of on/off operations for output control throughout entire voltage regulation range, device is provided with (n-1) power transistor switches 23.2-23.n and same number of current-setting resistors 28.2-28.n, where n = 2.3...n, n double-input transistor switches 27.1-27.n, and pulse distributor 29. The latter generates control pulses which function to drive into conduction power transistor switches 23.1-23.n through transistor switches 27.1-27.n in turn. In addition, fifth and sixth transistors 20 and 22, respectively, introduced in device ensure its high-speed transition from cut-off to conductive state under working conditions thereby providing for higher rate of on/off operations of output regulating member (power transistor switches 23.1-23.n) inserted in generator field circuit and reducing peak- to-peak amplitudes of output voltage ripples. EFFECT: improved reliability of voltage regulator. 3 dwg
