FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves administering traditional complex of vitamins (thiamine pyrophosphate, riboflavin, mononucleotide, calcium pantothenate, lipoic acid, alpha-tocopherol acetate), stimulators of biosynthesis processes (inosine, pyridoxal phosphate, folic acid, phytin, potassium orotate), sedative preparations like motherwort tincture to pregnant women from placenta insufficiency development risk group in generally accepted way with additional enterosorbent like sodium and calcium alginate each taken at a dose of 2 g of pure substance as aqueous gel solution once in the morning on the empty stomach 30-40 min before the meals during 21 days in two courses: the first one to 12- 14 pregnancy weeks and the second one 4-6 weeks later after finishing the first course. Morning dose of metabolic complex preparations is given 2-4 h later after giving sodium and calcium alginate dose. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of prophylaxis and therapy; reduced frequency of pregnancy and labor complications and perinatal fetus injuries. 8 tbl
