FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves fixing the plaster positive in unmovable position and removing protrusions from positive surface. The positive surface is finished with changing removable attachments of the device for removing constant thickness layer from the plaster positive surface. The first removable attachment is tuned for constant cutting depth operation mode. Grooves of the given depth are produced with this attachment and then the layer of thickness determined by the grooves is removed with a slicer. The second removable attachment directly removes the layer of given thickness. Plaster positive surface is finished with abrasive paper or net. The device has handle and two knives, two additional chicks, rollers, fork with fork axle, slide block with a stem, adjustment nut, stopper and wafer. Device knives are manufactured as removable attachments. Two chicks are attached to the hollow handle. The adjustment nut is screwed onto the stem. The slider stem is connected to the fork. The fork is joined in its turn with fork axle having a knife. The knife is connected to knife axle with chicks between the rollers mounted on the knife axle.
