FIELD: powder and non-ferrous metallurgy, applicable for production of granules of metals and alloys, chemically active ones inclusive, for example, granules of calcium by centrifugal spraying of melt. SUBSTANCE: after meting metal through a metal conduit is fed to a granulation chamber, where it heats a rotary disperser by 10 to 40 C higher than the solidification temperature and gets sprayed with formation of granules. The above temperature is attained due to a dosed flow rate of the melt jet and controlled by pressure differential of inert gas between the melting pot and granulation chamber. EFFECT: reduced fire risk of the process, enhanced yield of serviceable product and enhanced serviceability of disperser. 1 ex
