FIELD: pump engineering for fuel feed systems of gas-turbine engines and other industries. SUBSTANCE: centrifugal pump has composite impeller built up of two disks with blades entering interblade ducts of each other due to axial displacement of driven disk. Running blades of drive disk are double- stage structures ensuring delivery of working liquid either by blades whose height equals disk diameter or by those whose height equals 0.5-0.7 of its maximum value, or by both at a time. Pump is designed using enclosed- type impeller principle where working liquid pressure is simultaneously equalized in spaces upstream of driven disk and downstream of driving disk using for the purpose special through holes providing intercommunication between these spaces and thereby equalizing axial force on side of driven and driving disks. EFFECT: improved pump delivery, reduced liquid pressure and temperature, reduced power requirement throughout entire operating range. 1 dwg
