FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: flange joint may be used in stationary and pipe parts being under internal pressure of liquid media. Flange joint of parts has a sealing element made of metal ring with two end recesses-grooves for flexible, for example, polyurethane gaskets. It is positioned in chamber formed by circular grooves of trapezoid form on flanges coupled to each other. Sealing element is positioned with its end sections in flange grooves. Half of end sections which includes flexible gasket protruding from ring and part of ring located in zone of groove corresponds to groove form. Other half of end sections is made with space. Middle part of sealing element coupled to end sections is of rectangular profile. EFFECT: improved sealing. 3 dwg
