FIELD: building industry, more particularly manufacture of light-weight building materials. SUBSTANCE: method comprises mixing binding filler, industrial foam and water. Preparation of foam concrete mix is carried out in three stages. In first stage soluble constituent and foam are prepared separately. Soluble constituent is made form some dry components the amount of which is determined by formula: C1= 0,025•C•B, wherein C1 is amount of dry components used in first stage, kg; C is total amount of dry components, kg: B is coefficient of water requirements of dry materials and total calculated amount of water. Compound is stirred for 0.5-1.5 min. In second stage, foam is introduced into soluble constituent and they are stirred together for 1-2 min. In third stage remaining portion of dry components are introduced into the resulting compound during stirring operation. EFFECT: high resistance of foam concrete mixes to shrinkage effects as foam concrete becomes solidified, cellular structure of foam concrete is retained during any types of transportation to placing or molding site. 7 ex, 1 tbl
