FIXTURE TO REINFORCE STONE STRUCTURE Russian patent published in 2000 - IPC

FIELD: construction industry, correction of damage and reinforcement of stone structures in existing building. SUBSTANCE: brick walls of existing building are reinforced with wooden framework made of trunk vertical and horizontal members. Vertical members are manufactured in the form of sectional posts whose branches are linked by means of bolt braces passed through holes in brick wall with certain spacing. Bearing branch of post is fitted with distance bar ensuring specified degree of unloading of wall from mass of beam structure. Horizontal members are made of uncut wooden girders linked to vertical members of framework mounted on one or both sides of wall. Uncut boards and/or wooden shields arranged in plane of wall and made fast to members of framework are employed as guarding members. This reinforcing fixture is produced with proper protection against inflammability, without dismantling of existing structures in used building.
