FIELD: electrical engineering, in particular, electrical machines used for movement of rigid body on a certain trajectory. SUBSTANCE: accelerator has a cylindrical current-conducting barrel coaxially positioned inside the solenoid, it accommodates the propelled body and a fuse link electrically coupling the barrel beginning and the central electrode, which is connected to one terminal of the accelerator power supply circuit. The second terminal of the power supply circuit is connected to the end of the solenoid removed from the central electrode. The second end of the solenoid is electrically coupled to the barrel beginning, and the tops of the central electrode, beginning of the barrel and the solenoid beginning are positioned in the same plane perpendicular to the barrel axis. The body of the central electrode assembly is made of magnetic material, and the other metal components of the accelerator are made of non-magnetic materials; part of the body of the central electrode assembly attached to the cylindrical current-conducting barrel overlaps the zone of arrangement of the fuse link. The transverse electrical resistance of wall of the barrel length unit is constant throughout the entire length of the barrel enveloped by the solenoid, including the mating zone with the body of the central electrode assembly. Besides, the fuse link is made in the form of wires diverging from the central electrode. The bottom section of the propelled body has a recess accommodating the fuse link is filled with a hydrogen- saturated substance. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 4 cl, 4 dwg
