METHOD FOR LOCALIZATION OF SUBSURFACE EXPLOSION OF DEEP-HOLE CHARGE Russian patent published in 2000 - IPC

Abstract RU 2150674 C1

FIELD: blasting operations in aqueous medium. SUBSTANCE: method consists in installation of shields in the way of passage of shock waves. At arrangement of charges in bottom deep-holes beyond the limits of the parameter of rows of deep-holes a slotted cavity is made in the bottom ground. A charge giving off gas at burning without formation of shock waves is placed on its bottom. Water-proof envelopes filled with low-density material and ballast for imparting negative buoyancy are placed above the deep-holes with explosive charges. The gas-forming charge in the slotted cavity is ignited, and the charges in the deep-holes are bursted with retardation required for filling the slotted cavity with gaseous combustion products. EFFECT: reduced seismic and hydrodynamic shock waves at explosions of charges in bottom deep-holes. 2 dwg
