SUBSTANCE: part of the face area is separated by a shaft dam with labyrinth packing near the working bed, cut holes and advance hole are drilled for a more intensive liberation of methane, mine atmosphere is displaced by methane with monitoring of displaced flow by a gas analyzer, and after the composition of gas mixture incapable of burning and burnt is attained, cut hole charges of high amount and power are bursted. For attenuation of air shock waves a water-filled shaft dam of hoses freely hanging in working height is installed. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of blasting operations in gassy (methane) mines. 5 dwg
