FIELD: means for absorption or damping of blast waves at underwater bursts of explosive charges. SUBSTANCE: the method for localization of an underwater burst by liquid and gas screens consists in the fact that screen-forming charges are positioned on the path of hydraulic shock waves between the explosive charge and the object under protection, they are blasted, and after formation of cavities of gaseous explosion products of the screen-forming charges in water the main explosive charge is blasted. The screen- forming charges may be arranged of explosive cords or bands spaced with formation of a charge in the form of a net. EFFECT: enhanced reliability of protection of underwater engineering structures. 2 cl, 3 dwg
