FIELD: medicine, particularly, traumatology. SUBSTANCE: splint is made in the form of set of extendable and installed in one another telescopically drawable apart for required length box-like members rectangular in cross-section. Box-like members are made of laminated or impregnated with water-repelling compound cardboard or cellulose molded material or polymer or synthetic materials. Reinforcing inserts are used in the form of longitudinal corrugated metal sheets, metal plastic wire, or polymer rods. Splint is fixed to body of injured patient with the help of flexible embracing tape or bandages. The splint is compact, convenient in storage and simple in use. EFFECT: higher reliability of fixation of bone fragments, increased rigidity of extremities immobilization with preservation of their limited mobility and possible imparting to splint of bending in preset point over its entire length. 5 cl, 3 dwg
