FIELD: textile industry. SUBSTANCE: drum has beaters arranged circumferentially between disks and fixed on horizontal shaft by cross members carrying plated grid positioned under beats and auxiliary planks of different length, with length increasing as planks are more and more remote from drum axis, height, beginning from main beating plank, increasing and difference between heights of adjacent planks reducing. Auxiliary beating planks are arranged in drum leading zone in the course of material advancement, with length of leading zone not exceeding half the length of drum between main beating plank and grid plank next to drum. EFFECT: increased efficiency by optimum equalizing length of fibers on drum and simplified construction. 3 dwg
