FIELD: locking devices. SUBSTANCE: code insert consists of body accommodating cylindrical sleeve capable of rotation. Sleeve accommodates code washers and spacers between them. Code washers have key holes, code recesses and sector protrusions. Spacers have axial holes for key, working recess and sector protrusions. Made in wall of body internal cavity and in sleeve wall are longitudinal recesses in which, in closed position, spring-loaded balance weight is located. Sleeve wall also has sector hollow where sector protrusions of spacers and turning sector protrusions of code washers are located. In open position, sector protrusions of code washers are withdrawn from extreme position of sector hollow, and balance weight is located in sleeve recess and in combined code recesses of code washers. Keyhole of code washers has sector recesses combined with one another and form stepped rack. Number of rack projections equals number of type-sizes of code washers. Radius of each next recess beginning from axial holes is larger by one step than radius of preceding recess. Key is made in the form of rod with flat bit on which code combination of lock is cut in the form of projections of different height. When key is turned, projections of key bit become engageable with respective projections of rack of hole in code washers. As a result, code recesses pf washers under balance weight are coincided and sleeve may be turned in insert body. EFFECT: broadened assortment of keys for these types of locks. 2 cl, 3 dwg
