FIELD: measurement technology. SUBSTANCE: invention is related to process of measurement of electrochemical activity of non-metal liquid layer located on melt of metal with the use of measurement cell with electrochemical element having active part and counter electrode. Invention also refers to measurement cell measuring electrochemical activity. Measurement cell is submerged into melt of metal through non-metal liquid layer to obtain accurate results of measurement of electrochemical activity in minimum possible time. Active part of electrochemical element during passage through non-metal layer is surrounded with material of this layer, this material is held on electrochemical element after measurement of electrochemical activity and measurement is taken inside melt of metal after submerging of electrochemical element into this melt. Electrochemical element is specially made to ensure sticking of measured material. EFFECT: simplified approach with obtainment of accurate measurement of electrochemical activity. 18 cl, 5 dwg
