FIELD: production of iron ore raw material in ferrous metallurgy, in particular, cooling of ores upon agglomeration. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has agglomerate cooler with waste gas discharge system comprising dust catcher, exhaust fan and gas conduits, and heat-exchanger for withdrawal of heat from waste gases. Heat exchanger is made in the form of block of water-and-gas economizers arranged in mutually parallel relation and hydraulically communicated with water conduit equipped with upper gas supplying box, lower gas discharge box and dust collecting hopper providing discharge of gases from cooler along path indicated in drawing by arrows. Block of economizers is communicated by gas conduit between dust catcher and exhaust fan of waste gas discharge system and is connected by water conduit to heating system and/or hot water system. Such construction allows power consumed for waste gas or dust removal to be reduced. EFFECT: increased efficiency by recovering waste gas heat of sinter machines. 2 cl, 1 dwg
