FIELD: road building machinery; compacting of road pavements, bases and ground. SUBSTANCE: roll installed on ballast weight trunnions rests on rollers of upper and lower carriages. Preloaded flexible hydraulic chambers installed between carriages and ballast weight are connected through pipelines and hydraulic distributor with hydraulic pulser. Vibration of roll is provided by expansion compression of flexible hydraulic chambers preloaded by pressure of working liquid which leads to displacement of upper and (or) lower carriages pushing the roll by rollers and making it vibrate relative to ballast weight. EFFECT: increased reliability and enlarged operating capabilities of compacting roller. 3 dwg
