FIELD: mining industry. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to earth-moving equipment and can be used at overburden mining in winter on soft rocks of seasonal freezing, namely for operation on frozen slopes for cutting slots in height of step. Proposed front-end equipment of hydraulic excavator has boom, boom lifting/lowering hydraulic cylinders, milling cutter and its rotation mechanism. Boom is two- beam, with inner guides in each beam, provided with truck with support rollers. Milling cutter of disk type is installed on truck and is furnished with mechanism to provided its travel along boom. Supply generator of electric motors of disk milling cutter rotation mechanism and mechanism providing travel of milling cutter together with truck along boom is mounted on excavator turnable at side counterweight, with transmission of power to said mechanisms by cables laid along boom. EFFECT: reduced power taken for slot cutting, simplified control of working equipment. 2 cl, 4 dwg
