FIELD: hydraulic systems for control of counterbehind pressure of finishing stand working rolls of strip mills. SUBSTANCE: cylinder has a barrel with a cover and hole for supply of working fluid, sleeve located in the barrel cavity and whose bottom has a hole communicating with the hole for supply of working fluid, plunger installed in the barrel, sealing components. The hole in the sleeve bottom is aligned with the plunger, the sleeve bottom is provided with an O-ring elastic seal in the joint with the bottom of the barrel cavity located around the communicated holes. The effective area of the sleeve on the side of the hydraulic cylinder working cavity exceeds its effective area on the side of the supply of working pressure. The hydraulic cylinder prevents pressing-out of the sleeve from the hydraulic cylinder barrel due to the difference of forces produced by the force of the working fluid hydraulic pressure providing for pressing the sleeve to the barrel in the axial direction.
