PROCESS MEASURING TORQUE AND DEVICE FOR ITS REALIZATION Russian patent published in 2000 - IPC

Abstract RU 2152011 C1

FIELD: measurement technology, contact-free measurement of torque on rotating shaft. SUBSTANCE: proposed process measuring torque uses radiation mark as radiation source and autocollimation images of radiation mark from proper optical reflectors are so formed when elastic shaft rotates that specified images hit in time sequence photosensitive surface of one photodetector. Device for realization of process has optical-electron unit made in the form of objective in which focal plane at least one radiation mark and one photodetector are installed. Autocollimation images of radiation mark formed from optical reflectors are located on photosensitive surface of photodetector whose output is connected to time interval meter and output of meter is linked to computer. Photodetector can be manufactured in the form of single-land photodiode with matching amplifier or in the form of single-coordinate position- sensitive photodetector with matching amplifier. Optical reflectors can come in the form of prisms whose ribs of dihedral angles are perpendicular to axis of elastic shaft.
