FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves performing osteotomy and forming fibial fragment to split it in longitudinal direction. The fragment is transferred to the defect and spread in width under control to restore required bone thickness. Longitudinal distraction is carried out with the extremity being fixed in compression-distraction apparatus. The split fragment halves are spread in fan-like manner in particular cases. Osteotomy ends of fibial fragments are synostosed with the adjacent parts of the tibia in particular cases of not marked cicatrices or their absence. Osteotomy of one of created fibial fragments and its controlled transfer are carried out in another particular case. The separated halves are coalesced to the lateral surfaces of the talus in another particular case. EFFECT: accelerated treatment course; restored integrity of the fibula. 5 cl, 7 dwg
