FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves exposing blood to helium-neon laser radiation in the region of the greater fontanel above the superior sagittal sinus. Wavelength is 6.63 mcm. The light guide is applied in perpendicular to skin surface. Exposure time is 60 s. Output power at the light guide end is 2.5 mW. Radiation treatment is applied beginning from the fourth-fifth day of life during 7-10 days. The treatment is repeated at the second month of life 1-1.5 min daily during 7-10 days. Output power is 2.5 mW. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness in repairing neurologic status of a child; painless correction of motor homeostasis with perinatal encephalopathy.
