METHOD FOR TREATING CHILDREN FOR PERINATAL ENCEPHALOPATHY Russian patent published in 2007 - IPC A61N5/06 A61N2/06 

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: method involves treating patients with red-infra-red radiation simultaneously with low intensity magnetic field produced by Geska-2 device having magnetic nozzle. The device head is positioned in labile contact way and moved at speed of 1-2 cm/s in closed circle above paravertebral areas of the vertebral column from the first cervical up to the fifth sacral vertebra on both sides. The treatment begins from the right side without breaking surface contact with skin. Transition to the left side is carried out clockwise. Red-infra-red radiation is applied with red radiation wavelength equal to 660-675 nm at flow density of 0.8-1.0 mW/cm², infra-red radiation wavelength being equal to 840-950 nm at flow density 1.5 mW/cm², magnetic induction of 20 mTesla units and irradiation area covered by head radiator equal to 10 cm². Exposure time is equal to 2 min per 1 procedure for children aged from 1 month till 2 years; in 5 min long for the age of 2-5 years; 10 min long for the age of 5-14 years, with 10 daily procedures long treatment course.

EFFECT: quickly stopped clinical manifestations of neurologic symptoms; normalized brain blood vessel tone.
