SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of synthesis of adsorbents for carbon dioxide containing alkaline-earth metal hydroxides and designated for using in respiratory devices. Method of synthesis of adsorbent involves forming calcium hydroxide, granules drying and stabilization of adsorbent. At the stage of forming or after drying potassium carbonate in the amount 3-10 weight % as modifying agent is added into adsorbent. Obtained adsorbent shows high dynamic activity at exploitation at low temperatures and under high pressure of gaseous medium, among them, in using respiratory mixtures with high heat conductivity.
