FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: lateral walls of tension box pass system are formed by two inclined walls whose inclination angle relative to vertical line at side of bottom is more than that at side of parting. Bottom portions of roll grooves adjoined to lateral walls of square box pass are inclined relative to horizon by angle equal to inclination angle relative to vertical line of lateral walls at side of groove bottom of next (according to rolling process) square box pass. EFFECT: increased useful life of box pass system, improved quality of blank, enhanced efficiency of rolling mill. 6 dwg
