FIELD: highway engineering, applicable in construction or reconstruction of road junctions at different grades of trunk highways. SUBSTANCE: the vehicular traffic tunnel comprises underground sections and open ramp sections. The novelty is in the fact that the tunnel is made in length with two sections curvilinear in plan, facing the opposite sides with the convex part, middle rectilinear section located between them, and rectilinear terminal sections, the angle between the axis of one rectilinear terminal section and the axis of the middle rectilinear section makes up 39 to 47 deg., and the angle between the axis of the other of the middle rectilinear section makes up 23 to 31 deg. EFFECT: reduced labour and material costs and scope of excavation in the conditions of narrow urban building, presence of neighboring historical and architectural monuments and numerous underground neighboring service lines at simultaneous provision of a high traffic capacity and road safety, prevented jammings on motor roads, deformations of overground structure, and improved ecology. 13 cl, 12 dwg
