FIELD: mechanical engineering, in particular, equipment for sealing modules with loads and big-volume containers. SUBSTANCE: locking-and-sealing apparatus has body 1 with axial opening. Part of body 1 is made conical, with inclination angle of generatrix to longitudinal axis being within the range of 10-20 deg. Apparatus is further provided with locking member made in the form of cable 3 having one sharpened end, motion restrictor on other end, and stopping device. According to one version, stopping device has set of washers 6 provided with toothed openings and threaded on cable 3. Washers are spring-biased to sleeve end beveled at an angle of 25-40 deg to plane perpendicular to washer axis. According to other version, stopping device has washer 6 threaded on cable 3 and having opening offset relative to its axis for distance of 0.05-0.3 of its diameter. Washer is spring-biased to sleeve end. Sleeve 11 has outer conical surface with cone angle equal to or less than that of inner surface of body. Sleeve is positioned for displacement along body and is provided with radial slots for receiving movable balls, which are simultaneously in contact with cable and body conical surface. One of body ends is closed with cover provided with opening for receiving locking member. EFFECT: simplified construction and increased locking and sealing efficiency. 12 cl, 4 dwg
